    The Capital Markets Group (CMG) at Bridge Investment Group is responsible for capital raising and business and product development across the entire Bridge platform. The team develops and maintains relationships with institutional and HNW investors globally for each of Bridge’s specialized real estate funds. At Bridge, every senior professional is involved and aligned with capital raising efforts, which has contributed to the platform’s success. Every year, Bridge raises $2 billion-$3 billion across the range of products with specific institutional and non-institutional investors.

    Position Info

    As Managing Director, Capital Markets in our Asian office you will be responsible for significant sales and relationship management with our existing and potential investors; obtaining capital commitments and driving investor relations across Asian real estate investors.  You will also be responsible for leading Bridge Investment Group’s strategic expansion into Asia. This includes building a business plan to grow capital commitments in the region and developing investment products and customized solutions that best serve Asian real estate investors.

     

    Expectations for the role:

    • Obtain capital commitments that support business development objectives and ensure successful execution of strategies and deals across all products.
    • Have an in-depth understanding of the Asian institutional real estate capital raising landscape with a demonstrated track record of raising capital among Asian limited partners.
    • Spearhead the execution of Bridge Investment Group’s expansion into Asia. This includes working closely with senior management to develop an actionable business plan, identify the most opportune location(s) to establish offices, hire and manage a team of regional Asian CMG professionals, and where necessary identify best-in-class local partners (banks, brokers, legal advisors etc.) to work alongside the firm to facilitate the execution of the business plan.  
    • Ensure real estate investors receive best-in-class client servicing through quarterly reporting, portfolio reviews, annual meetings, advisory board meetings, and timely responses to ad hoc requests.
    • Work closely with senior real estate investment professionals and senior management on new product ideas, particularly those relevant to Asian real estate investors.
    • Expand and deepen relationships with public and corporate pension plans, family offices, endowments & foundations, sovereign wealth funds, and smaller institutions.
    • Engage in the marketing and fundraising effort when new funds launch; having full input into maximizing the prospects of such funds.
    • Oversee real estate investor relations processes, including the creation of diligence materials, such as RFPs.

    Qualifications

    • 10+ years of experience, with prior relevant finance and sales experience; investor relations / business development, capital raising experience and rolodex a plus.
    • Strong academic performance and achievement. Undergraduate degree required. M.B.A. preferred, but not necessary.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and at least one Asian language.
    • Strong understanding of the fund management business, preferably within an alternative asset management company or high caliber real estate investment firm.
    • Displays significant sales ability, ideally with a track record.
    • Exhibits strong leadership skills and team building capabilities.
    • Must possess poise, gravitas, skills and competencies to suggest that one would be able to raise capital and interface with investors, both domestically and internationally.
    • Ability to develop strong product knowledge and understanding of real estate investment strategies, markets, products, and the competitive landscape; being familiar with direct and indirect influences on individual and institutional investment decisions; knowing and articulating the strategies, objectives, and performance of various funds and products.
    • Global perspective and the communications skills necessary to articulate the platform with credibility to potential investors and important stakeholders.
    • Be well-known, visible, and highly respected in the investor community; with a history of achievement throughout his/her business and academic career.
    • Experience and proven track record of managing and motivating junior team members.
